The YMBA has been present in Sri Lanka Since 1898 with a single goal in mind. As one of the key Buddhist movements in the country the YMBA has adhered to promoting the teachings of the Buddha Dhamma to the youth.

Mr. Ajita de Zoysa
Chairman
Ajita de Zoysa is the Chairman of AEC Limited and all its group Companies. He serves on the Boards of numerous listed and non-listed organizations and has over 50 years of Industry experience in Motor, Manufacturing, Hospitality, Petroleum and Petro chemical, Construction and Financial Services.
Chairman of Associated Electrical Corporation Ltd, A E C Properties (Private) Limited and A D Z Insurance Brokers (Pvt) Limited, a Director of Trelleborg Lanka (Pvt) Limited, Trelleborg Tyres Lanka (Pvt) Limited and Royal Palm Beach Hotels PLC, also the President of Commercial Agencies (Ceylon) (Private) Limited and Ajita de Zoysa & Company (Pvt) Limited and the Chairman of S L T CAMPUS (PVT)
He has served as the Chairman of AMW Group, Union Bank, National Asset Management Limited and Sathosa Motors PLC. Mr. de Zoysa’s philanthropic and leadership roles in numerous Organisations in Education, Healthcare, the Kalutara Bodhi Trust and the YMBA to name a few have contributed to the welfare and well being of many thousands of people over the past 5 decades. He was conferred the National Honour “Deshamanya” by HE the President of Sri Lanka in 2019.
